Snake River – Hells Canyon
The Snake River, Hells Canyon-
Sounds Pretty tuff, with names like that there has to be some monsters lurking. Well that’s what I’m hoping for. I’m headed to see one of my buddies that moved up to Idaho, and plan on doing some fishin’.
White Sturgeon and Smallmouth Bass are our main targets, and the Chinook (King) Salmon should be there as well.
I’m gonna’ try out my new 6ft 10, Smallmouth, G-Loomis rod. I’ll let you all know how it performs. I’ll be doing some home video so hopefully we’ll get into some fish. Anyone have some fishing lined up?
I live up near there – and Hell’s Canyon IS tough! My family has elk hunted in that country for over thirty years…as far as lunkers…hmmm, well, I’ve heard they’re in there – but can only verify from personal experience the smallies.
One thing is for certain – you won’t be disappointed in the country! Take pictures.
